What is paid time off like at Primrose Schools?

Great curriculum, families were amazing, and most coworkers were okay to work with

Where do I begin… prices are through the roof for families yet they don't have enough money to give raises to the employees. Overworked, treated so poorly, leadership watches like a hawk but sits in the office all day gossiping, zero benefits, they hire anyone off the street to “teach” and take care of children, turnover rate is so high, management is terrible, hours are terrible, no such thing as PTO (1 week for 365 days) yet leadership is always gone, break room is the size of a closet, no such thing as “breaks” during the day, leadership plays favorites, you have to have “volunteer hours,” buy your own Primrose shirts to wear everyday, literally everything about this place sucks and is so negative and it falls back on poor leadership

Working with your students in your class.

Lack of communication, no team building, no clear objectives. Time off policy is not great and if you do not put in a 2 week notice your pay is lowered to minimum wage.

The teachers were mostly great, although the micromanaging drove away most of the qualified teachers.

Everything changes at the director's whim. The handbook meant nothing, and they were much more concerned over their image than what was best for the babies. The ratio is also really high, but that's normal for every daycare. The franchise I worked at had basically no PTO, no benefits, no sick days, nothing.

There's a strong sense of community amongst management and staff members, IF you can balance being personal AND professional. Diverse staff team, many celebratory moments during holidays and for staff accomplishments (personal and professional). Allows for good work-life balance with proper notice, adequate support from management on professional matters, fair compensation based on experience, weekends off, frequent paid overtime opportunities, although sometimes mandatory

Limited, fixed PTO hours, slow to no career growth opportunities, business-first approach, new student & family onboarding lacks proper screening, occasional inappropriate classroom placement/transitioning despite student's age, developmental, and/or academic abilities

Great families and paid holidays

Turnover rate is high lately

Paid training, free food, full time, paid holidays after 90 days.

Favoritism, no visible tattoos, PTO after one year, uniforms until one year.

They pay on time, have pto and weekends off. You get to work with adorable children, if you happen to have some same energy colleagues, you are all set.

The rate is not transparent, you could be work the same job with your co-works but get paid less. Overall pay is not competitive. You probably will get a few cents up every year.

Good leadership and kind teachers

The pay is not very good for the stress level of the job and because it’s so hard to get help it’s really hard to get any time off so there’s a lot of burnout
