      Pros

      - Culture is fantastic. People are collaborative and genuinely want to see each other succeed. - Great benefits and office perks (free lunch, snacks, coffee, and excellent meeting spaces). - Exciting energy from a growing company with modern technology and a willingness to push boundaries. - Opportunities to align strategically during internal events like Dev Week which helps reduce competing priorities and keeps everyone moving in the same direction

      Cons

      - Processes are still evolving and can change frequently - Some restructuring has led to team changes, which can be challenging - The fast-paced environment can make it hard to stay fully up to date on decision-making at times

      Pros

Initial pay and benefits is great. Hybrid office schedule is really nice. The office I work out of is in a great location. Culture is great so far. There's a collaborative spirit here when it comes to the Engineering/IT side of the company. Lots of opportunities for volunteer work. Company seems to believe in investing in employees as a way to improve the overall company.

      Cons

Remote work seems to be on the out, so if that's something you're looking for, this might not be the company for you.

      Pros

      - product-wise the company is very solid, innovative in many areas and delivers a platform that actually makes a difference - mature tech company that's still private and grants RSUs to all employees (that's a rare combination), - bit of a start-upish vibe locally, since the office in Krakow was opened less than a year ago, - Culture is great - very collaborative and dedicated to keep the standards high, - TA-specific: good process with a lot of autonomy for TA function, that's treated as a business partner here, not a delivery unit. - TA-specific: great leadership in TA org, advocating for the needs of Recruiters and making sure we have all of the means we need to be succesful, - TA-specific: it's a company on a growth curve, so a lot of hiring so far - busy is good!

      Cons

      - being a fairly new to Krakow, there's still room for improvement in terms of local benefits, - we're following global hybrid working model with 3 days in the office (I don't mind, but some might consider this a con) - being a transparency advocate, I'd love to see more transparency in terms of pay, leveling, etc.

We win as a team. We are unstoppable. We do the right thing

Our core values are not just idle talk. They are 100% walking the walk, From ground level all the way to the top. Everyone in this organisation matters. The culture of this organisation completely blew me away. I had no idea that there truly are companies out there that take their Core Values so seriously. And this is what makes Tanium so successful. Customer centric and relationship focused. Great staff benefits and package (incentive plan etc). Even greater Roadmap delivery, Senior leadership is STRONG, experience and humble and they deliver a sound Strategy. I am proud to be part of the Tanium family.

      Pros

I’ve had an incredible experience working here thus far! The culture and office environment are fantastic, fostering a sense of community and collaboration (and great snacks!). The people managers are exceptionally knowledgeable, always willing to help and offer support when needed. I also appreciate the autonomy I'm given in my role, which allows for my own personal growth and creativity. The compensation and benefits are top-notch, making this one of the best places I’ve worked at. The CEO has a clear and inspiring vision for the company’s future, and with so many exciting projects on the horizon, I’m thrilled to be part of this journey!

      Cons

401k match could be more competitive.

      Cons

There doesn't seem to be much opportunity for growth and we really haven't hired in months Leadership decisions can be confusing at best, out of touch at worst The IPO carrot is getting old Benefits are lackluster compared to other companies

      Pros

Tanium is a good company to work for. You get to collaborate with smart colleagues who care about their jobs and offer to help when needed. Total compensation is above average, with good benefits and RSUs.

      Cons

Some managers are simply toxic and top leadership does nothing about it. The entire payroll team inherited in 2022 is now gone. They either resigned or were let go abruptly. There has been intimidation and retaliation even for simple errors in Excel formulas. There is no coaching, support, team building, or push for professional growth. Complaints have been raised to HR and top leadership by the payroll team and other departments for months. Unfortunately, there seems to be total oversight. Tanium payroll structure could be a great opportunity to grow your payroll expertise in the U.S. and internationally, but the current manager is a perfect case study of bad management and toxic culture.

Starting Salaries are really good. Good medical benefits at a good price. Some exceedingly smart people work here.

      Cons

Culture has become very toxic over the last several years. Company used to pride itself on allowing full remote and people bought houses far away from any office because of it. New CEO came in and suddenly it’s a change to must be in office several days a week or your gone. There are constant surprise layoffs happening. One day a team is there and the next suddenly gone with no understanding why. An extreme good ol’ boy culture thrives at Tanium and if you’re not in the clique then you’re nothing. Raises are low, 491k is abysmal and the RSUs are a HUGE tax burden on you every year but not worth the paper they are printed on. Tanium used to be a great company new leadership has brought it down.

Good and Bad Aspects - Overall Decent Company

      Senior lead
      Current employee

      CEO approval
      Business Outlook

      Pros

      • Offices are nice - good layout, well run, large variety of free (and high quality) snacks/beverages stocked in offices and $25 daily credit given to all employees who come into the office for catered lunches, basically uber eats-like (this is huge for personal cost savings - imo arguably the biggest, tangible financial benefit offered at Tanium, since the 401k program is terrible and RSUs are speculatory). Workplace/office managers are also very friendly and professional - they constantly organize fun events too. • Unlimited vacation offered to some employees - definitely can be a "scam" but if you don't feel guilty about using it then it's a good perk - people seem to generally take advantage of it • RSUs granted to all employees - could be worth something someday, maybe. • Flexibility for working hours and hybrid days in the office - hybrid days are counted per month, based on a weekly average, so you can "bank" your days more on some weeks to offset not coming in on other weeks. Hybrid days also aren't counted by hours yet, so you can come in for a few hours, then leave, and it'll count for a day in the office. • Since it's a smaller company, there's plenty of opportunity to find unique work and potentially grow/be promoted quickly • Good work-life balance overall - if you draw boundaries and don't feel pressured by some people/managers who seem like they work 24/7, there's a lot of flexibility and leeway to people who get their work done • Base salary I think is also overall good overall compared to the market for similar positions and level of effort • For all the cons I've said about some of the people, there are some genuinely great people here who are friendly, intelligent, and do great work - if there weren't a good number of people I genuinely like working with and have become good friend with, here, I would've left by now.

      Cons

      • 401k program is terrible and management has been saying for years that they will reevaluate it "soon," but never does. It's not even close to industry standard and other benefits don't excuse it being this bad • Small waves of layoffs that hit different business units without warning, even when leadership promises things are going "fine" - it's never enough to make big news, but suddenly like 3-5 people from an org will be gone overnight and happens basically every quarter, it seems, and it's quite unsettling when it happens • Lots of internal politics between departments - teams refusing to work cooperatively or even undercutting or trying to sabotage other teams because their leaders don't get along. Creates a tough environment where people are distrustful or afraid to communicate openly • Some “old boy’s club” culture from when the company was much smaller. Certain people seem to be part of an “inner circle” clique that can basically do anything they want and can get away with being poor performers. • Titles are weird - a lot of the position titles don't match up with industry standard names • Challenges with workforce offshoring - they're started offshoring a ton of positions in Poland, which makes it difficult and frustrating to get work done when all the key resources are offline as soon as your day starts.
