What is overtime like at Tesla?

-There is a lot of different jobs within Tesla. So once you're in it should be easier to move around within the company -I was surrounded by great people which made work for exciting and fun -Stock

Cons

-Pay isn't all that great and there pretty stingy on overtime unless it's the last month of the quarter to push for numbers -I felt I didn't have support by my managers and work balance can get to you at times -Its pretty hard to get recognized or promoted. You really really gotta work for it and I also felt be favorited. Even when I did do really good within the company. I didn't feel appreciated where I saw other advisors get appreciated even doing the bare minimum.

Advice to Management

-Keep it fair amongst everyone. Push for promotions If the hard work is their. I understand some Advisor may lack in other things such as communication,etc....but if their numbers are great and hard work is there. It will only drive them to stay if recognized and/or recommended for promotion

Forced overtime Can't take off any time at the end of each quarter. Terrible work/life balance They make you work holidays Your "bonus" pays out in sections every quarter over the course of 4 years. Your schedule constantly changes They will make you work different locations There is no growth in your role (As a previous Amazon employee) this is worse than Amazon for less pay

Don't lie to employees

Cons

Seems like everyone in management has less than 2 years of experience, long work hours, overtime starts after 10hrs not 8, you won't get any overtime if you take your second meal break. Barely anytime to get home and sleep, people will literally sleep in the lounges at work on cardboard.

Advice to Management

Three 8 hour shifts instead of 2 12s , give your employees regular overtime, and 15 minute breaks the place is massive and just getting to the bathroom is a PITA. Also the fact that none of the managers or high ups drive a Tesla, but will drive other EVs says a lot about the company and the product that they sell.
