Pros
Good pay and commission based on your job performance
Cons
So many but it was competitive and pressuring in a weird way. Felt kind of like a cult. Don’t drink the buckle kool aid.

Pros
Good pay and commission based on your job performance
Cons
So many but it was competitive and pressuring in a weird way. Felt kind of like a cult. Don’t drink the buckle kool aid.
Pros
Great Pay, with both base pay and a potential for commission.
Cons
I dont have any Cons
Pros
Flexible schedule for students, full time benefits, 40% discount, great knowledge for retail, especially management skills.
Cons
Working experience depends on the type of manager you get, holidays are mandatory as well as weekends because of foot traffic=more sales=more commission,
Pros
The clothes there are very cute and trendy. Fellow employees are often friendly. The job isn’t hard at all, from the cash register systems to filling online orders it’s been the easiest job I have ever worked. The senior and district management is great, I used to love it when they would come to visit the store because they were incredibly helpful and never made the sales associates nervous or stupid for asking questions.
Cons
You are paid a base rate, which is normally very low, and get paid commission for the rest. You make 3% of what you sell, so if you don’t sell anything you will probably have a poor paycheck. Store managers can be touchy. Some are nice and some take their job a bit too seriously. They really want you to basically bombard the customers with questions or suggestions, the main focus is to upsell. The employee discount is ok at 40%, but the clothes are so expensive that even with the discount you are still paying a pretty penny for a pair of jeans.
Pros
Great team environment, and good commission
Cons
Long hours and hard if you're not a people person
Pros
You receive a, I think, a 10% discount on any of the buckles clothing and they have great clothes! You will also receive 3% commission on any sale
Cons
Since you get commission on a sale if a customer returns an item, you will lose that money
Pros
Most people who come in have been coming to the store for years and are loyal/friendly customers.
Cons
Before hired they made it sound like you would be making a decent amount of money with commission, but you make nothing. Management is nice in the beginning, but not understanding or considerate if you are sick or struggling with your mental health.
Pros
Commission is nice, support from peers is good
Cons
Commission is better on weekends, no free time
Pros
Managers are very involved, team is fun to work with. Opportunities to move up in the company if you have good results. Generally a fun environment.
Cons
Unless you work at a high traffic store, your commission is limited by how many people come into the store. I’ve had days where maybe 10 people come into the store my whole shift. My sales are good (I’m usually top sales) but it can frustrating when you can’t make enough sales to earn more than a (rather low) guaranteed salary. Expect a performance based hours system.
Pros
I honestly have nothing good to say.
Cons
- This company has the weirdest work environment I’ve ever experienced. They never teach you what to do, only show you pointless videos that don’t really help with anything, and act like they’re the top sales people in the world. Not everyone that walks into the store wants a pushy sale person trying to force them to buy an entire outfit! - I always felt like I was being talked about (which I found out to be true and even management was involved) and they always made me feel unwelcomed. Reading other people’s reviews revealed I wasn’t the only one and that this is actually very common if you don’t “fit in” their clique. It’s sad a lot of stores even in different states have this problem. I also heard them talking about how I dressed (even though I wore the same clothing style as one of the team leaders) and that I wasn’t a good sales person on top of being told TO MY FACE “yeah we have higher expectations and what you sold isn’t as high of demand as our clothes.” - Forceful sales tactics. On my first day I was pretty much harassed by a team leader my entire shift and nearly had an anxiety attack. I’ve worked sales for years prior to this job so it wasn’t anything new to me. I was told I need to unlearn everything I knew and that if I don’t do it his way then I won’t succeed. I was very optimistic and figured this is a new field of sales so of course there’s new tactics I have to learn. Unfortunately, I wasn’t taught anything and was just tossed onto the sales floor and followed around. I’m not even kidding almost shoulder to shoulder all day and since I didn’t feel comfortable he thought it would be a good idea to grab a random clothing item and anytime someone walked in I had to present them regardless of if they were male or female to everyone or else he would give me a strike. I was completely humiliated bc I kept getting weird looks by everyone who I had presented to and even other employees noticed and told me he’s never done that to anyone else. Not to mention if you like pointless busy work then this is the place for you. - I was gaslighted into believing the commission and pay was a whole lot better than it actually was. - Even though there’s other things like the ridiculous SGPs I’ll end on this. Management was flat out rude, always had favorites and would hangout all the time after work, and had the high school mean girl attitude. One time I asked the GM a genuine question on how to overcome feeling pushy towards the customer or how to get them to buy more (since apparently I was so bad) and somehow that was upsetting and crossing a line. That GM told my store manager she didn’t appreciate it rather than giving me feedback like a manager is supposed to do. I’m also confused on why I wasn’t told on the spot rather than it getting amplified and told to everyone behind my back. The manager and assistant then cornered me, talked to me like a child, and tried to belittle me. If I didn’t repeat word for word what she said she would look at her assistant and say that’s not what I said was it and the assistant would agree like I wasn’t right there. I quit that day bc there’s plenty of jobs that pay better and don’t treat people like trash. I’m also an adult that’s not in preschool and has ears that work just fine so I didnt need to sit there and repeat what anyone said word for word.
