What are perks and other benefits like at TriStar Health?

Part-time scheduling and good benefits.

The pay isn't that great and they made promises that they didn't keep. Originally when I took the job, policy was anything you work over your 24h base pay is extra pay and you will be eligible for incentives, however after a few months working there they changed policies that you have to work 40hrs before you can make anything extra. Coming from someone who is a full-time student with other nursing clinicals, this was nearly impossible to do when originally it was one of the best perks of the job. Additionally, they promised that externs could do skills with other nurses since they're in nursing school; this never happened.

Smaller than the bigger hospitals in the big cities. Decent pay and good benefits.

A lot of corporate involvement and they are very clear on patient satisfaction versus patient health.

Pay scale for cost of living

Great laboratory experience. Decent benefits.

Not enough staff + high specimen volume makes the job incredibly stressful. Horrible work/life balance. Management acts like they don’t know how to fix the staffing issue. It’s why I’m looking to leave.

Good comradery with co-workers, good management - better than other TriStar hospitals. Pay is a bit lower than others but nurse/patient ratios are usually in line with acceptable levels which provides safer care for the patient and less burnout for the nurse. Overall, a good place to work with pretty good benefits - matching 401k, health insurance, PTO, etc.

As with any hospital, there are common problems and frustrations, such as unruly patients, tiring shifts, and seemingly constant rules and requirements, and this hospital is no different. Pay could be higher but that is mostly determined by HCA.
