Varian is incredibly generous with its remote policy and a lot of my coworkers work remotely. The work itself is fairly interesting and Varian is the market leader in radiation oncology systems.
I like the work I do a lot since it's quite sophisticated and my coworkers are friendly and intelligent. I worked on a lot of interesting projects with my team and my manager is incredibly supportive. I don't have any negative things to say about my team and coworkers and I also like the exposure I get to all sides of the business.
Since its acquisition by Siemens, the paid time off policy will become more generous and that's also another plus. Health benefits are also pretty good.
Cons
The pay is mediocre although I would the benefits are not that bad. I do feel a bit underpaid and I would say my work-life balance is not as great as it should be. My schedule is a bit of an unpredictable roller coaster with long hours and then downtime. I can deal with this but it's not ideal.
I would also say I'm not quite sure about upper management's future strategy and there's still a lot of growing pains with Siemens.
Decent Salary. Healthy and inclusive work culture. No Politics. Great vision. Decent incentives and benefits including insurance, free transportation, food, Gym,
