Cons
Completely unrealistic goals set by management. Was doing the job of three people standing up brand new capabilities by myself, usually done by the job of an entire team.
Extremely understaffed and the staff that is there is burnt out. I started off as the golden child and ended up “not meeting their expectations”. Held similar role at much larger company and management said I did not meet their job level criteria.
Unclear guidelines on flexible working. Petty and bully tactics used by management; lies to your face. Shoot, aim and fire mentality rampant. Management tied to the way that they want things, no flexibility.
Newly promoted managers in dire need training on how to be a people manager. Weird culture, favoritism and no clear guidelines on promotions etc. Micromanagement is prevalent. Communications are poor.
Do better Vertex. Completely shocking that this company keeps getting rated as one of the best places to work.
