I applied online and shortly after, a recruiter reached out to schedule a call. A few minutes before the scheduled time, she called to ask to reschedule which I agreed to. The interview at the rescheduled time went well, the recruiter said she was new to the company and seemed a little nervous but nothing too bad. It seemed we were a bit misaligned on the salary expectations. She said I'd hear from her the next week to see if I'm through to the next round. That call was the last time I heard from her or anyone at AboutYou in the 5 months since then. It's perfectly ok to reject a candidate but if someone invests their time twice to talk to you, it's a common decency to at least let them know that they are no longer considered.
