      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (Amsterdam) in Apr 2022

      Interview

Applied to the Project Operations Manager role via LinkedIn. The full interview process was going to be 5 steps but I only made it to 3. 1. Recruiter emailed booking system to schedule 1st interview w Team Lead. Was great and she was very friendly. Not too tough. 2. Another friendly interview with a team member. Very smart and sharp. Learned more about the role and, as she was explaining the role, she asked me for who I would believe were the key stakeholders from her story and what challenges you would face in the situation she described. 3. For the third round I needed to prepare a case and present (10-15min) where two team members would pretend being the client and ask me questions for another 15min. They have high expectations on your and you need to be ready to answer technical questions and problems that the merchant have and throw at you. For the second part of this interview - the latter 30min, - was for them to interview me. Rather tough conversation and I was not able to give them any strong answers. Potentially because my brain was all fried from that tough case just beforehand. However, both friendly and easy to talk to. Recruiter called me a few days later to tell me I did not move forward in the process and provided feedback on why (which I agree to and understand their decision). Overall, a smooth process and friendly people. Especially the recruiter was pleasant to speak to and she guided me well though the process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What can you bring to the team? Conflict resolution If the day are starting to look the same, what do you do then? If a customer is asking for something we don't offer, how do you communicate that? Adyen's formula (what speaks to you the most, why) Why do you want to work for Adyen? How would you deal with a situation when a merchant demands a certain feature which you don’t support? Who are the stakeholders (in a situation described)?

      Interview

Overall great interview experience. The recruiter was very responsive and transparent and had a decision for me within 24h after each round. I had 5 official rounds but 6 calls as on the penultimate stage the in-person interviewer didn't ring in the remote interviewer. Honest mistake but could have been easily avoided. They were apologetic about it. Nothing too obscure in terms of requirements - recruiter screen, peer interview, case study presented to team leads, country manager & department head interview and finally SVP/exec level. The case study was lower lift than others I've done which I appreciated - around 25min to present but still assessed key competencies & knowledge. The whole process from 1st call to offer took about 5.5 weeks over the Christmas break. Key here is to read, understand and imbue the Adyen formula into your conversations and examples.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Adyen (Sydney) in Jul 2023

      Interview

6 stages of interview (from application to offer) 1. HR Screening 2. Hiring Manager interview 3. Functional interview assessment (choice between 2 tasks, with an online submission) 4. Functional interview presentation (role-play kick off meeting) 5. Meet a member of the local Leadership team 6. Meet a member of the global Leadership team The process is lengthy, but gives the candidate an opportunity to (i) meet with their potential co-workers, (ii) assess functional fit, and (iii) see if their values align with those of leadership/company strategy. Pros: - Opportunity to meet your potential coworkers and leadership before starting (this is important for me because I've found in the past only meeting a Hiring Manager doesn't always give you an accurate picture of the actual internal culture vs branding); - Thorough process to help you decide whether this company is right for you culturally, and whether it fits your way of working Cons: - The actual time it takes to go from application to offer (I don't have a solution for shortening the timeframe though :/)

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Every stage of the process, someone asked 'what challenges do you foresee in this role'.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Adyen in Jan 2023

      Interview

I did an early stage interview of 30 minutes and the day after they sent me an "automatic response" email telling me that my CV does not fit with the position (as if I was in an earlier stage). They did not even consider sending me the right e-mail regarding to the stage of the process I was or thanking me for taking the time and effort to do the interview. I replied them saying that they might have sent me the wrong text and after that I got no reply.
