Really disappointing interview experience despite my strong interest in the company and role..
I applied online. The company reached out to coordinate a phone call with a more senior HR.
1) 1 minute before the first interview, I received an email from HR asking to postpone.
2) A few days later, They suggested a new time and date, but without a time zone.. Despite making myself available for both Europe and US times for the call, nobody ever called me.
3) Several days later, they reached out to apologize and suggested another time for us to connect. On the date of the new call, 15 minutes before we were suposed to connect, the person reached out again to postpone.. A new time (!) was suggested for us to connect, which was the day after,
4) A day later, when I connected to the meeting, they never showed up!
5) Days later, they reached out again to apologize and suggested a 5th time for us to connect. The call did finally happened and went well.
6) On the day I was supposed to get feedback about next steps, I received a call explaining that a candidate was already far in the process and for that reason I would not be able to carry on the with interviews.
Having to reschedule/postpone a call happens all the time, it's totally understandable. But 5 times? I'm not sure.
In addition to that, being told that someone was now further down the process and because of that I would not get to have a fair shot at the role... Considering that the company rescheduled my call 5 times which resulted in a 20 days difference, is a bit much though.
While I still hold Adyen as a company in high regard and believe in their strong company culture, I feel that the interview process in that case was not handled in a professional way which had a direct impact on my chances to compete for the role,
