I applied in March 2016 when internal recruiter contacted me and offered the interview for the position at AoL.
It was an in person interview which I thought went pretty well, as I spoke with a lot of people and they all were pretty interested in my services.
After the interview three days I haven't heard a word later a i got an email asking to confirm a phone interview(yes, after in person, they were asking for the phone interview).
I was confused as I had no idea whats going on. Emailed to internal recruiter and didn't get response. I had to call him few times and finally he answered that this is for different positron as they liked you but they decided to send you to a different department.
That position was something, that i wouldn't like doing, but they didn't ask my opinion they just send me over like this is a good stuff take it to your team. When I start mentioning that this is not a professional to set up an interview without even asking me if I am interested in that position or not, or at least provide a job description, the internal recruiter just dropped the phone call on me, like I was wasting his time and bothering him too much...
This says a lot about the company culture, as they don't care about person's opinion or so.
I hope they will get more professional staff.
