      Customer Service Representative Interview

      Jan 22, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Clarksville, TN
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Agero (Clarksville, TN) in Oct 2015

      Interview

I applied online sometime in June of 2015, didn't receive a call until October of 2015.I had brushed it off as another company who decided not to go with me as that was WAY beyond the 90 day mark most companies say they retain applications. First step was a phone interview. Mundane and pointless questioning in my opinion for the few that were asked but more importantly it felt as if it were a heads up on what the company expects, how they operate, and my thoughts on the matter. Which I did appreciate. Of course the lady I spoke with asked me if I would still be interested in the position after explaining all that. Naturally I said yes to her. For this review and the readers knowledge I had been unemployed for 9 months and Agero here in Clarksville is known to hire anything that has a pulse and can speak. Not even properly, but can speak none the less. They have a very high turnover rate and speaking to many here in town you get the feeling the high turnover rate is for a reason whether it be a bad company or poor quality employee that they hire. Regardless of which reason it still didn't seem very exciting. So I was not overly thrilled to apply here but I was in a bad way so I did it anyway. What followed was an in person interview which I fully expected. Standard interview questions of what are your strengths, weaknesses, etc. What would your former boss say if I were to ask them about you. Nothing to crazy really. A couple questions out of the norm will be listed at the end of this. The lady that did the in person interview was kind, polite and professional. We did a tour of the facility, and I was again made aware of what my job would be. I sat with a phone rep to listen to some calls and it went as I had expected. I started training sometime in November and the rest as they say is history. I will do a job description/review when I hit my year mark as I don't feel I've been there long enough to do a pros and cons write up just yet. The last bit of this review I will say I was impressed that they first treated me as a human being. Common courtesies and pleasantries were exchanged. Second they were extremely professional. I had expected it to be more like herding cattle considering the high turnover rate, I do believe they have hired in another nine or ten classes since I have started, each class being about 20 people. Third, I did like the way they introduced me to the job, set my expectations, and communicated with me about the pros and cons they believe the company had as well. They were up front and honest (so far) with all the questions I had asked them. Overall, it has been a surprisingly positive experience. One last note that I remembered last second to put in. They did not require a drug test. To me that was odd considering I've taken LOTS of drug tests as I spent time in the marines, US border patrol etc. Seeing the people that surround me, well, they would probably have a much higher turnover rate or at least a harder time filling positions if they were to do drug tests. Not all that surround me seem like druggies but they really do hire just about anyone that has a pulse.

      Interview

easy and straight to the point. trainers were supportive through training. Called tow drivers for stranded people. The work was too repetive for me and nothing was ever solved for the people, needs some better structure.
