Very simple. I sent an email inquiry about a position initially. Met with my bosses and they asked me a few questions. They told me about their projects and offered me the position on the spot.

Zoom talk with the employer, kind of casual due to covid, takes only 10-15 minutes and not really intense. The interviewer is the person that will your boss, and give more time to answer if English is your second language.

Applied online and heard back fairly quickly after submitting my application. Interviewed soon after at AidData. Interview was fairly basic and lasted maybe only 15 minutes- asked about strengths and weaknesses and about experience working remotely.
