The interview lasted less than 30 minutes and did not include any technical questions. I was asked to briefly discuss my past experience, and that was it. I had more questions than the hiring manager, but he simply answered without providing much elaboration. The interview felt more like a formality, conducted to fulfill government requirements and allow the company to secure an EP quota for foreign workers. The company has a high proportion of non-citizen employees, which can be confirmed by reports available online. While the hiring manager has a strong academic background, I did not get the impression that he is a good leader with the technical expertise needed to lead the team.
