      Flight Attendant Interview

      Mar 3, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Clearwater, FL
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Clearwater, FL) in Mar 2016

      Interview

Make sure to arrive early ( I would say an hour) for your scheduled interview as you may get lost in the airport trying to find the conference room. Dress the part! Google is your friend and so are YouTube videos as how to dress for success. You will need money for parking. Bring a water and maybe something to eat like a Kind bar or piece of fruit as it's a long day. Upon arrival, you'll meet others just like you who are excited, anxious, nervous, and super friendly. Get to know these individuals, you never know who's watching you to see how you interact with others plus you may work with them in the future. You'll sign in and be seated in a conference room while everyone is getting settled. Continue your mingling with others. In my instance, there were 25 total attendants and 6 recruiters. You'll begin by meeting Alex, who's super entertaining to start off the introduction to Allegiant. A nice video is presented, don't be afraid to take notes and/or think of any questions you may have at end...(perhaps save one of your questions if you make it to the one-on-one interview portion). Next, each recruiter will introduce themselves along with a little bio of their journey with Allegiant. We broke up into 3 groups...2 remained in the room and separated on each end. Your group will be assigned 2 recruiters. Each of you will individually stand up to introduce yourself and present the memorized quote given to you prior to the interview. Deep breaths! Next you'll pair up with the person next to you and be given a situational question that relates to in-air flight. Ours was, "How would you work as a team to ease a passenger who was terrified of some rough turbulence?" They give you a few minutes to come up with your strategy and each team will present to the group. Next, you will be given one of Allegiant's core values to read. Relate this value somehow to your personal or work experiences. Yes, you will stand up and present this to the group. And that's it for the group part. Wear comfortable shoes (and yes, pumps, NOT stilettos) b/c next you go out to the hallway and wait for them to decide who's moving on to the next round: the one-on-one interview. There is no where to sit so you may be standing for quite some time. If you're chosen to move on then be prepared to answer 5 or 6 situational/behavioral questions using the STAR format (google it)...again, DEEP BREATHS! Hey, remember that question I told you to keep in mind, now's the time to ask at the END of the interview. All in all, this was a wonderful experience whether you make it or not. The recruitment staff are awesome and will make you feel at ease. Be prepared. I like to say, "If you fail to plan, then plan to fail" Once you are finished they'll give you a time frame of when you should know either way if you're selected. They will also tell you the next step, if chosen, will be a skills survey that you will email to 5 references so make sure you have some in mind. I did receive this part and you must send to a minimum of 5 references with 2 of them being a superior (boss, manager, etc...)... Now, I wait to see if I get the offer!!! Good luck!

      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Allegiant Air

      Interview

My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.

      Interview

Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
