I was contacted by a recruiter for a senior manager job. I had initial phone interview. During the interview the interviewer was very complimentary about my technical/development background and he told me that my experience is very good as a principal engineer. He then asked me if I would be open to that position. After that, I they arranged for phone interview for Principal engineer position
