The process started with a recruiter screening; usual questions about "why I was leaving my current job", "salary expectations" etc.
The next step was a phone interview with the hiring manager in Israel with questions about my current roles and responsibilities. I was given an overview of the role.
Next up was a second, a slightly more technical interview over the phone too with existing presales folks from Israel. The questions and discussions were the usual, around the challenges I've faced in my previous experiences.
This was followed by a third telephonic interview in the with the practice head. The questions were more focused on selling methodologies to see if I would be a good "salesperson". This was a bit of contradiction from the role details from the first interview since I wasn't expected to sell anything directly but only support the sales folks.
This marked the beginning of a long 4-week wait during which I was provided very little information after multiple follow-ups and was not given a clear yay/nay; I was essentially "on-hold" while they evaluated more candidates. The treacherous wait ended 2 months after the process started when I was informed that I was no longer being considered.
