I am compelled to post this because of the unforgivably rude treatment I received from American Meadows. I applied via LinkedIn for the position. Time passed without any sort of update, and their initial confirmation of my application said "don't be shy" about following up, so I did. No response. Another week passed and I followed up again. No response. Then a little over a month after I had applied I received an email from their HR person apologizing for the delay and asking me to use their app to sign up for a 30 min phone interview. The app makes you choose 3 possible time slots, and says HR would contact you later with details about what time they've chosen. Days passed and I still hadn't received any details. So I emailed the HR person, trying to find out when they've scheduled my interview. I did this multiple times, over several days, and never got a response. I thought that they'd contact me last minute, so I took a half day off from work to accommodate any time they'd choose. The appointment slots I had selected all passed without a word from them. They had GHOSTED me after asking me to schedule an interview! I wrote them another e-mail, angry this time, and copied the two owners of the company. Hours later I actually received a reply. The HR person apologized, saying she "missed big." She invited me to sign up for an interview again, if you can believe it, and I declined. American Meadows projects this casual, fun work environment, giving people titles like "Happiness Jedi" and "Tech Sensei." That silliness only works when the people are ruthlessly competent. So a warning to you: if you think you want to work at American Meadows, be prepared to have them waste a lot of your time.
