I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at Amphenol in Jun 2025
Interview
Long, gruelling. Two rounds. First with HR, and then with the hiring manager and followed by a panel interview. I was told that they are looking for some young people to join, as most of their staff are aging and will retire in a few years.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Amphenol (Singapore)
Interview
It was a video interview session arranged by the recruiter. Interviewed by the HR and the hiring manager at the same time.
The interviewers do not seem interested at all since the beginning of the interview. Throughout the whole session, the manager did not introduced a single thing about himself, the job scope, details or the background of the company.
The interview feels more like a background check on their competitor (I was working at one of their competitor). Almost all of the question asked were focused on the operation and problem in my current company instead of the candidates background and qualifications.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
- What is the highest defect in your current company operation and what is the action that had been done to improve
- Which process is the bottle neck in your manufacturing operation
- What is the overall product yield and production capacity of my current company

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Amphenol
Interview
Contacted from college job and internship fair. A preliminary phone interview was followed by on site interview a month or so later. The on site interview was with the appropriate parties. I interviewed for a process job as well as a manufacturing engineer job and spoke to the person I would later work for.

Question 1
Nothing out of the ordinary, on-site interviews were with responsible members, not HR.
