I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Armanino (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2015
Interview
1st round a very friendly partner interviewed me. I lasted a little longer than the scheduled 30 minutes. It was more like a casual conversation. We talked about my coursework in college, my future goals, and why i think Armanino is the firm to help me reach those goals. After I was asked a few questions, wanted me to ask her about Arminino. Luckily I had several questions prepared otherwise the interview would have ended really early. They emailed me within hours to schedule a 2nd round interview.
2nd round was a group office visit. Lunch, presentations, and socialization with other staff candidates and current employees. There were a series of interviews throughout the day. These interviews were slightly harder then the first round but nothing unmanageable. It seemed like everyone wanted me to feel comfortable and they really were more interested in gauging how well I would fit into their environment.
I researched the company thoroughly before both of my interviews and I could tell that did not go unnoticed.

Interview
Very fair and laid back and it was a lot more personal. Unlike other accounting firms Armanino wants to see you as a human being, not a work horse. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend Armanino to a friend.

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Armanino (San Jose, CA) in Oct 2017
Interview
I applied through a student ambassador at my school. I was asked to come in for an interview. The first interview was just a conversation with one person and felt very laid back. The next interview consisted of an office tour, three 30 minute back-to-back interviews with different people, and finally a lunch with 2 staff accountants. The overall process went very smoothly. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. I did not receive an offer, but my overall experience was positive.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Armanino (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
I attended Meet the Firms and talked to the recruiter and staff. I was contacted later for a phone interview, which was about 15 minutes. The recruiter just asked about my interest and what I was looking for. I got an email a day later for the second round interview at their office. The first half hour was introduction and office tour. Each candidate got assigned a helper. After that there were 3 interviews, 30 min each back to back, with partners and managers. After the interview, the staffs took me out to lunch. Overall, everyone was really nice. I didn't get the offer in the end because there was only 1 position available but many applied. However, it was still a great experience.
