I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at BDO (San Jose, CA) in Nov 2014
Interview
Welcoming and a healthy emphasis on ensuring my comfort. The questions were not so challenging, but diverse enough that I felt good like I had expressed myself well.
Fast paced and organized. I was interviewed by three individuals in a 1:1 setting. They offered a pre interview dinner that I unfortunately could not make it to.
In addition to my inability to make it to the dinner, I was unable to make the original interview date (I would not recommend you rescheduling your interview date) due to a midterm. But BDO worked with me to make it possible and I was really pleased that it all worked out so well.
From my experience, BDO's recruitment process moves quite quickly. HR often contacts shortlisted candidates on short notice. For instance, test results may be released on the 2nd, while the HR screening interview is scheduled on the 4th. This means candidates need to be prepared and flexible, as there is usually little time to prepare between stages.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviewer first asked me to introduce myself in English. After that, they asked why I wanted to become an auditor and what interested me about the auditing profession.
The interviewers are helpful and fun, and very responsive. It is a group interview and 3 people in a room with 4 interviewers, it started with an online assessment 6 questions, include logical thinking, and few problem solving questions and after that interview session started.
