I applied online and attended an open house, but it took about a month for them to call me. Once they called me, the process was very quick. I interviewed, toured the facility, and received a phone call to offer me the job all within a week. After that, there is a mandatory 2 week training period where there is an off-site class up to 8 hours a day, all paid.

Touring the facilities and seeing interactions with the persons served was beneficial to seeing if this was a good job for me. The interview questions would be difficult to answer if you had not worked either in the field or with children.

Walk-though housing units very informal I felt like I overdressed. There was some danger involved due to aggressive behaviors aimed towards the interviewer and the myself. They seem to want to gauge reaction of the potential associate by leading you into the high problem unit.
