Thorough process and candid questions asked from the start. Initial recruiter did not have a clear brief of who they were hiring and the positions they were focusing on. They were helpful nonetheless.
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (Knutsford, England) in Feb 2025
Interview
It was a very fast process. I saw the opening on LinkedIn and applied via myworkdays. Roughly 2 weeks later, I was sent an online assessment. After my online assessment, I got an interview scheduled. After the interview, I received offer.
Interviewed for a senior-level position. Completed two stages, including an in-office interview. Despite reaching out to the hiring team and senior leadership for an update, the communication completely ceased and the role was reposted without any feedback or conclusion offered to advanced candidates. Highly unprofessional process for an institution of this scale. Will never be applying to this place ever again.
Initial Screening Call w Recruiter - high level role description, location, salary band and organising main interview
1st Stage: Interview with hiring manager and one other person from the wider team - competency and technical skills based - this was difficult
2nd Stage: Interview with the Director, this was more free form - discussed mainly motivations around applying for the role, why Barclays etc. Involved a jog through the CV and a light technical Q about industry trends etc.
