I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bechtel Marine Propulsion (College Station, TX) in Sep 2015
Interview
The interview was very straight-forward. I was asked questions directly from my resume. The interview was in a comfortable setting. It took place in a conference room in a hotel with two people asking me questions based on my undergrad experience. It was very basic and easy.

Question 1
What was your most favorite and least favorite undergraduate class?
I applied online. I interviewed at Bechtel Marine Propulsion (Niskayuna, NY) in Mar 2015
Interview
I was first interviewed twice over the phone. The first time it was a brief interview with the manager who then set a time up for a second phone interview with two unit members. It was a brief interview with only a couple of informal questions and a rehash of the job description and my background and education as well as the location requirements and background check processes.
The second phone interview was extremely casual. It was a 30 min phone conference with 2 of the unit members, who went a bit off topic about some of my resume items, but it was a very enjoyable interview none-the-less. It was just a more in depth rehash of my resume, education, and interests.
I got a phone call from HR the following week asking to set up an in person interview within a couple of weeks. The date the interview was to happen was firm.
When I went to NY for the in person interview, they held 2 sessions: a morning session of three people and an afternoon session of two. I was in the afternoon session. I was fingerprinted on-site with the other interviewee at KAPL prior to going to the hotel close by. I think about half of the team was there during the interviews as well as an HR contact. There were 4 interviews held in open door hotel rooms. None of the interviews were held with the other interviewee in the same room at the same time. Three of the interviews took place with two of the teammates asking a series of questions for about a half hour and the final interview was a one-on-one with the manager of the group for about a half hour as well.
The interview session was ended with a quick presentation of sorts by the HR contact about what BMPC does and the culture, as well as a brief introduction to the benefits offered. After the presentation, we met one-on-one with the HR contact to discuss our desired salary.

Question 1
It was a pretty informal interview in terms of conversation. Pretty standard questions were asked, most of which dealt with interpersonal relationships/team work throughout college and/or in my social life. A couple of questions dealt with knowledge, but it was pretty basic.
1. Describe a time you worked in a group where you did not get along with all of the members, and what you did to cope with that.
2. Describe a time you have failed and what was the biggest lesson you learned from that.
3. If this item is broken, describe the process in which you would go about fixing it and when would you know it was fixed?
4. What is something you are proud of accomplishing within the past year and why are you proud?
5. What are your hobbies and why do you enjoy them? - I think they were looking for something engineering related for this answer. The group seemed very passionate about specific technical extracurricular activities.

Interview
Pretty straight forward. All behavioral questions. Name a time when something happened, what did you do, and what was the result. Interviewers are more interested if they can work with you, i.e. your personality and attitude rather than technical skill for entry level positions. You may interview with multiple managers. I interviewed with two but I have met people who have interviewed with as many as four.
