I applied through college or university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Bentley Systems (Kansas City, MO) in Oct 2015
Interview
The interview was in a conference room with three of their developers. I felt comfortable and at ease. They started off by asking about my interests and background. This was followed by a discussion about how I work and interact in a team setting. I showed them an example of a project and then took the a coding test. I talked through my solution with one of the developers and he offered some helpful suggestions. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, as interviews go.
They asked about my side projects, a particular guy was unimpressive, i thought the interview will be about my technical assessment but it was the other way. I was asked about data sharing across databases, and was asked to solve a string problem
1) recruiter call
2) technical interview
I did not advance past this stage but I believe there was a take home assessment after this. There may have been one final interview after that
