      Python Developer Interview

      May 9, 2016
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Beyond (London, England) in Mar 2016

      Interview

This was the worst interview process I have ever experienced. I applied via a recruiter, had a good phone interview with the tech lead who asked me to do a coding challenge. After spending most of my weekend completing the coding challenge (which was pretty open ended), I then submitted it, but didn't receive any feedback or even acknowledgement that it was received despite the recruiter chasing several times. I also emailed the tech lead directly and received no response. One of their in house recruiters actually sent me a LinkedIn request during this time too, which I accepted and also contacted him via LinkedIn to try to get feedback on my work, but again no response. To ask an interviewee to dedicate a significant amount of their time to the application process and not provide a reply of any kind is extremely poor practice.
