I recently interviewed for a Marketing Assistant position at BCG. The process itself was unnecessarily prolonged stretching over a month. Despite my flexibility with the interview dates, a sudden medical emergency involving my father being admitted to the ICU required me to inform HR. Their response was shockingly insensitive and dismissive, undermining the seriousness of a life-threatening illness. I was told the interviewer's schedule was more important and my application was dropped. Frankly, I have no interest in working with an organization that shows such a lack of basic empathy and professionalism.
