I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Brakeburn (Poole, England)
Interview
I had 3 interviews to then be ghosted. About a year later I was then messaged via Linkedin to ask if I would be interested in the role again. I replied but then was ghosted for a second time.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Brakeburn (Poole, England)
Interview
First interview was great. The second was a bit odd. I was sat on a stall which is quite uncomfortable when wearing a dress.
The interviewer didn't appear to have read my CV and spent probably 70% of the interview telling me about himself. There were at least 3 interruptions and the interviewer left to solve a problem for 10 minutes. I was told that they didn't want anyone from where I lived as they don't like the commute. Having to politely tell your interviewer that you didn't mind the commute was awkward. Then they rushed off to present to someone leaving and I showed myself off the premises.
It was very hard to focus on what I wanted for say with so many disruptions and an interviewer that didn't want to be there. The finance director would have been an amazing manager though. Such a shame.
I recently had a laid-back, conversational interview with Brakeburn, which made for a comfortable and engaging experience. The interview was with the owner, and it felt more like a genuine dialogue than a formal assessment. We discussed my background and relevant experience, and I appreciated the opportunity to connect on a more personal level.
