I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Busuu (London, England) in May 2016
Interview
I spoke to them at a careers fair and was emailed a few days later by the CTO, who had looked up my job history on LinkedIn. I had Skype calls with the CTO and a Senior Android Engineer, and then went in for an on-site technical interview with both Android engineers. Finally, I had a Skype call with the CEO, shortly followed by an offer.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I had to write some Android code to perform some simple functionality, using a laptop hooked up to a big screen so they could see what I was typing. It felt like a collaborative process, so when I wasn't sure of something we discussed alternatives and looked things up, just like a real-life engineering pair-programming scenario, where I was driving. This was good as it also gave me insight into what it would be like to work in the team.
Overall I was very impressed with this interview process. It felt like a better way to assess my relevant problem solving skills and ability to work in a team than artificial code puzzles.
