You reply to an email that mentions an opening. Whoever responds first and meets qualifications gets the job. Once the hours for the classes are decided you are contacted again and asked which time works best.

The application form, once selected by faculty, was sent and hiring occurred within a week. Recommend building relationships with faculty in undergrad if you are staying as a graduate student and are interested in teaching.

Interview
Met with Professor to discuss course goals, new material and lesson plans. Helped to plan future courses and department goals. Enjoyed engaging with students and other faculty inside and outside of the classroom while serving as a teaching assistant.
