I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at CNN in Jul 2013
Interview
Spoke with a recruiter in Atlanta after submitting my resume directly to someone else (recruitment and the program itself are only in their Atlanta HQ, which is interesting since they have offices all over the world). Everyone seems professional yet short on time. Phone interview was recorded and even the phone invitation to the phone interview was recorded.

Question 1
How would your major in college help you in a position at CNN? Of all the stories that you've been following, did you go deeper in your research to find underlying trends?
After the initial interview and the secondary interview, you will be called back to take a basic history and news awareness exam. It wasn't that difficult, but it was long and tiring.

Application
I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at CNN (London, England)
Interview
Applied through their website and got a request for an interview in the London office 3 weeks after applying. Takes approximately 3 weeks for them to get back to you. After you do the interview you should wait around 2 weeks for an answer. They inform all candidates about the outcome of their application.
