Regrettably, the overall impression left by this impersonal encounter was less than favorable, casting a shadow on the interview process. Interviews are inherently a two-way human interaction. The absence of face-to-face engagement in video interviews is impersonal and constraining. Unlike in-person interactions, video interviews on platforms often lack the subtle nuances that facilitate meaningful communication. Given that applicants essentially perform during these interviews, providing the script beforehand would afford them the opportunity to rehearse and present their best selves during the interview.
