I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Cakewalk in Feb 2024
Interview
The interview process was well-structured and transparent. It started with a short phone screening with HR to discuss my background and interest in the company. Next was a video interview with the hiring manager, focused on my experience with demand generation strategy, ABM campaigns, and working cross-functionally with sales. I was then asked to complete a short take-home assignment where I outlined a 90-day demand generation plan with a $10K budget. The final stage was a panel interview with two senior marketers and a sales leader, where they evaluated cultural fit, collaboration style, and execution ability. Overall, the process was professional and gave me a clear sense of the role expectations.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
I explained that I would start by aligning with sales on the target accounts and revenue goals. Then I would prioritize high-ROI tactics such as LinkedIn ABM ads, personalized email sequences, and a thought leadership webinar to build trust. I also highlighted the importance of tracking pipeline influence, not just leads, and proposed running a test-and-learn approach to optimize spend.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Cakewalk
