Walked in, asked for an application. Filled it out and gave it to the receptionist. 10 mins later was in and interview with the manager, got a call 2 hours later saying I'm hired!

Interview
Met with the Shop Foreman on multiple occasions before finally getting the okay for the job. It took two weeks or better to get the gig. I was persistent and that helped me alot.
