I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Canva (Sydney) in Sep 2023
Interview
The process is perhaps the most arduous but not commensurately rewarded in the compensation range offered (they're no M/FAANG, not even remotely close). I would advocate not to invest time for this company/process, it will take way more than any other opportunity and the probability and compensation won't be favourable. During the interview process, expect to prepare two -- yes two!! -- tasks. I didn't get the impression that the Canva team had the time to review the tasks in advance, nor even ingest the contents during the interviews. First call with personable recruiter who knew the product organisation and function quite well. Thereafter a task to prepare regarding favourite product and proudest product achievement. Next round is assessment of data and insights to propose a roadmap.

Question 1
Many of the questions appeared scripted as they didn't flow logically from one to the other.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Canva (London, England)
Interview
Pretty standard interview process, definitely suffering from a bit of arrogance with seeing themselves as an employer of choice, maybe this is warranted - I couldn't tell.
The initial screen was about why should you be lucky enough to work here rather than what can you bring to the table, why Canva etc. I wasn't feeling it after meeting with the recruiter - they seemed disengaged and expected a huge sell from me. While I appreciate I need to sell myself I also expect the company to show interest in me and my experience beyond why would I be "lucky" enough to join Canva.
LONG. i was pulled into 5 interviews before being told i didn't secure the position. it was an extremely arduous process but they were communicative throughout the entire thing so it wasn't terrible. but alot alot of prep work for sure
3 rounds, all very intensive, case study, your fav product, 2-3 features you built and why, your least fav product; data analystics for roadmap; team collaboration meeting your peers is the last round.
