    Teacher Interview

    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Capitol Region Education Council.

    Interview

All day- many panels; disjointed and confusing at times-- obviously interested; but, even though I accepted the position, in retrospect, there were a lot of red flags regarding negative, non-supportive school climate and culture. Did not communicate regarding obvious "unspoken" demands and hours out of school, including before-, after school, weekends, vacations- definite fallout (i.e. poor, unfounded performance reviews; intervention meetings with admin) if these "expectations" are not done satisfactorily

    Interview Questions

    Negotiation

Really none occurred-- Teachers are placed on a Step Salary Scale based on experience.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Capitol Region Education Council (Hartford, CT) in October 2014.

    Interview

I was recruited for a middle manager position. I had one panel interview with members of the senior management team and the executive director. The interview process may have been shorter than some others', as I was asked to apply for the position. Overall, it was a positive experience.

    Negotiation

I was able to negotiate for my title and job description. They would not negotiate on salary.
