    Sales Floor Team Member Interview

Anonymous Interview Candidate in Lisbon (Portugal)
    Declined Offer
    Negative Experience
    Average Interview

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Casafari (Lisbon (Portugal)) in April 2018.

    Interview

I was interviewed by a couple of very young people who clearly were unprepared. It looked like they were last minute informed about it because I had to wait and they were surprised I was there. Then they asked me some standard questions about previous experience, salary expectations and some culture-related questions.. The whole process seemed very random

    Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Casafari (Lisbon (Portugal)) in August 2017.

    Interview

The process started with a job offer on the internet. Shortly after having sent my CV, team members contacted me asking for more information and scheduling an interview. Since I'm in Lisbon, I offered to go to the HQ so that we could meet in person. Arriving at the interview site I was surprised because I discovered that I would be interviewed by the founders of the company, I don't need to mention the value of this. Like every interview, we start by talking about my study and work experience, then about the company and the role for which I applied. Everything was explained to me with great calmness, patience and detail, without any concern for time. This caught my attention because I saw the concern of the founders to know me and to be totally transparent about matters related to the company. In addition, I have been asked some well-thought-out and elaborate questions to test my logical and psychological abilities with certain situations. Finally, they offered a test to be done next week, to qualify my technical skills with real problems that the company daily faces. Of course I accepted, and in addition to testing me, they encouraged me to learn new things that I could apply to the project. At all times the founders made themselves available for any doubts that might arise. Throughout this process I could feel what it would be like to iterate through the team, and this excited me a lot. Three days after the delivery of the project I was called again to a final meeting to define the last details and fortunately, we reached an agreement and today I can say with pride that I am part of this incredible company and with people who inspire me a lot. Even now, within the team I can follow all the care and attention in the selection process, creating a pleasant and continuous growth environment for employees and company culture. It is a long, continuous process that can always be improved, but that is taken as a priority to the people who built the company with their own hands. This is not an ordinary hiring process, but you can not expect this from a company that wants to be a standout in the market!

    Interview

The interview process was pretty smooth and straightforward. The questions and assigned tasks were reasonable, it was neither too much, nor did it feel like it was too easy. Both the recruiter and the founders were friendly and through and through respectful.

    Interview

I was offered a DS job at this company, for which I relocated. Prior to starting, I gave a lot of free consultations on the current and future state of the company, which they happily took (with no renumeration) and decided to pivot the company's direction and focus. As the start date approached, I never heard back from them (no reply whatsoever). This is by far the most unprofessional and unethical behavior I have personally heard of. The company is disorganized with contradictory intentions/goals and no clear direction. Management has nervous outbursts making others feel uncomfortable. Definitely one to avoid-- there are many good jobs out there, no need to get involved with low-level behavior.

    Interview Questions

    • None- they have absolutely no idea about DS... how to think of data and treat it to support and grow business.   Answer Question

    Interview

I applied on Linkedin and on the same day received an email with basic questions after which i received technical tests: ability to collect data, write SQL queries, clean data, find "traps" in the dataset, classify by property types and locations and identify outliers with plots. I had 3 days to complete the test. After my results were submitted, i had 2 interviews (skype).
