I applied online. I interviewed at Change Mental Health (Edinburgh, Scotland) in Feb 2026
Interview
I was sent an invite to attend an interview in person, once I was there, I was interviewed by 2 people, where each one of them asked me questions. After that, I was informed that I would be informed with the news of the decision by the end of that week.
I would like to give some extra feedback about the process. When I received the invitation to attend my interview, I was requested to bring some ID and proof of address to this, which I believe will be part of the process for all the candidates. During the time that I was waiting to be seeing for my interview, I was outside the room where the other candidate was interviewed, once the candidate was finished. I noticed that Coleen asked to a person to request to this candidate their ID and proof of identity. When my interview finished and I was walked out of the building I noticed that this wasn't requested for me, which could only made me think that a decision was made before reviewing with the other panellist the result of my own interview and other candidates, this felt unequal.
As well, during my interview, as happens in interviews, every panellist has their own notes, I noticed that only one of them where making notes of my answer, while the other panellist, made just a very few notes.
I been part of interview panel from my role, and I found this details, disappointing as it creates an idea that things are not straight forward. I hope that this is take into consideration for future interviews to other candidates to avoid misunderstandings.

Interview
The staff were very nice and welcoming, however all of us invited to interview to asked to complete a very complex and time-consuming task. Some of the interview questions were also very confusing, as even the staff members asking them seemed confused. While they obviously wanted to find the best candidate for the role, I felt they were not particularly respectful of candidates' time.

Interview
I was welcomed by Lesley and Debbie. They were both very nice, putting me at ease to answer the questions. They allowed me to ask any questions which I had regarding the charity and it was an overall positive experience.
