I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Charles River Laboratories (Cambridge, England)
Interview
Quite unconventional! I had applied for 2 jobs at the company - the second one was my preferred option as it suited my experience more, but didn't see the job advert until I had started the application process for the first (both deadlines were within days of each other). I got an email invitation to attend an interview for the first role. During that interview I was asked whether I had applied for any other jobs and what they were. I was convinced they knew that I had applied for another job at the company, so I told the truth and owned up to it. This came as a surprise to them and while I was given a tour of the building, they contacted the other department to say that I was on site. Before I could finish the tour I was asked whether I would mind staying on site for another couple of hours so that I could be interviewed for the 2nd job. This took place over lunch with the line manager for the open position and their line manager. This was followed by another tour, where I got to see all of the laboratory facilities and meet all of the team.
