Job post was very generic on LinkedIn, they would not mention the compensation range or for how long the contract is. First step of interview was an 30 minutes Zoom (Video) call where you still do not hear about benefits + full compensation, neither work hours, neither about the culture of the company or their business, how long the contract is or the growth opportunities itself. Next step would be an assignment where you would source candidates for the positions they have open (one position action) through LinkedIn and explain to them why you chose that candidate and how you would contact them. They do have a high number of new positions that are open, and it does seem you would be doing a sourcing for free for the company without even being hired by them. It did seemed odd a company would ask you to do this for free without paying you. There are many other ways for evaluate a candidate for a position like this.
Once I asked how long was the contract for employment, the interviewer said 3 months with potential to renew or hire you full time of you reach their metrics (which it seemed very unrealistic for a new employee who would need training in the position + their own ATS system) and that would only depends on you. Contractor positions for strategic positions usually last 6 months. I didn’t felt heard in the interview and it felt my resume was not reviewed by the interviewer. I didn’t get a full picture of how long this process would take or the growth opportunities. I didn’t know how their pay would be competitive or not. I didn’t heard about work schedule. I didn’t hear about how long the recruiting process would take. I withdrew my application because everything seemed a little odd and not as transparent as I would like.
