The interview was fairly straightforward, the interviewer asked questions relating to my experience and background, along with some generic technical questions relating to SQL and OOP. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Question 1
Let’s say we have a table with an id and name fields. The table holds over 100 million rows and we want to sample a random row in the table without throttling the database.
Write a query to randomly sample a row from this table.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Chewy (Boston, MA) in May 2021
Interview
Technical assessment was sent via email. Questions were mostly pertaining to web development and Java. The assessment only gave around 20 minutes to complete. The questions were not difficult, it only took around 15 minutes to complete.
