Applied on GovernmentJobs.com, invited to take a skills test and personality test, then a one-way video interview. I didn't make it to the next round. The one-way video interview consisted of 5 technical questions about networking, where you record your responses into the browser. You get two tries per question.
This was one of the most humiliating, dehumanizing processes I have ever experienced in my life. I never once got to speak to a person. I usually bring a list of questions to ask during my interviews to see if I'm a good fit, but I never had the opportunity. They got all the benefits of interviewing me but couldn't be bothered to meet me face to face. All that to be scored by an AI model. I have a disability and was never given an option to opt out of the one-way interview process.
Initially, I was upset that I didn't get the job, but it made me realize I would never work for a company that can't be bothered to meet me in person.
