The process was a little disorganised. I received a message from an internal recruiter from which we scheduled a call. The communication was confusing, a second person did not turn up, and the interview was very structured for a senior reach out. What followed was more confusing communication and it seems I was put forward for 2 different positions, then 2 days later I get a rejection email. I’m not sure they realise it’s people and their lives that they’re interacting with
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at CityFibre (London, England) in May 2024
Interview
Was recommended the role from a manager at a past job. I had an initial conversation with my line-manager to be, and then a conversation with HR, a task, and then interview with line manager and director. I didnt accept the role until 1 month after initially interviewing, as HR offered me a salary lower than was mentioned in my 1st stage interview, so I initially declined but was then after a few weeks was eventually offered the number I was expecting.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at CityFibre (London, England) in Dec 2025
Interview
Initial interview (online) with the supervisor (senior legal counsel and a GC, mostly questions on my CV, few competency and describing the team.
2nd stage, 4 hour technical contract task, not the easiest but was able to get through it.
Final interview (in person) was with the senior legal counsel and a different GC. Got more info on the direction of the team and company, they didn't ask much about the technical task but the recruiter said that was meant to be the focus of the interview. Asked questions based on my CV.
Then had an informal chat without another legal counsel on the team.
Got really great feedback on the same day after the final interview but was told throughout the interview process they learnt they needed someone with more experience.
1st stage to final 3rd stage was 1 week.
Really lovely team
