Recruiter reached out on 20 May for a Java Tech Lead position and confirmed compensation alignment (25 LPA) upfront. Based on this, I agreed to proceed with the interview process.
A two-week interview timeline was communicated, with an initial screening round expected to be scheduled shortly. However, the process never progressed beyond the recruiter discussion. Multiple tentative timelines were provided across follow-ups, but no screening interview was ultimately scheduled and no formal closure or status update was communicated.
Delays can happen in any hiring process, but candidates invest time based on the timelines and expectations shared with them. More proactive communication and timely closure would have resulted in a significantly better candidate experience.
