Received a call from a front desk person asking me if I was available for the interview and what date and time I would be available. Gave date/time and received confirmation over the phone and attended interview on set date and time. Went for interview with Operations Manager, Regis Sherry, and within 10 minutes, it felt almost as if the guy had this pompous and "holier than thou" attitude trying to disqualify me from the start with difficult, ridiculous, and irrelevant questions from me and many of which had absolutely nothing to do with the position itself. He barely would crack a smile and I could tell he had no interest in me from the start and being a retired Air Force/Military Veteran and the fact I had Supply Chain experience for nearly 20 years AND a BA Degree within this field, I should have been afforded more respect. Especially since this person was not a Veteran and did not seem to have Supply Chain experience because I found his professional profile. Veterans should be given priority and afforded more respect than I was given, especially in a company and an area whose people claim to "love Veterans." This guy also was only in the position for 10 months and it did not seem he was there long enough to make any hiring decisions and furthermore, one of our family friends know the people who own the business (Regis' bosses) because they grew up near them so that should have given me a leg up, so to speak, and I should have been given the position especially for the fact this position was unfilled for about a year at that time and there was another person who was covering this position while working his other position so he should have been a little more expedient on finding a person to fill it and I would have been available right away if given a chance to being hired. Instead, he rejected me and most likely hired somebody whose daddy was best friends with the boss and most likely that somebody did not have the qualifications for that position but that is typical of this area.
Lastly and on a personal note, the guy looked like he had a good bit of money and it was a bit offensive but this Regis Sherry had some pretty bad breath and I'm sure he could have at least put a stick or two of gum prior to our interview and this is just offensive.
