I applied to D&K Through a connection who works at the company. I was walked through the hiring process and passed onto the hiring department for a technical phone screening. I did not hear back for roughly two weeks and had to reach out to my connection to set up the screening. The screening went well and I was told I would hear back from HR the following week for a panel interview. I did not hear from HR for about a month, and had to set up the panel interview directly through my connection. The interview was scheduled 3 days after this email. I was sent an invitation and asked if that date worked.
I did not get the job, but I was more disappointed that I was never sent a formal email from HR to inform me of this. Overall, the process took just over 13 weeks from first contact to when I found out I did not get the job. This process was extremely unprofessional and gave me the impression my employment was not of interest to D&K. Moreover, seeing that other reviews went through this process in 2 weeks or less and received adequate communication is extremely disheartening.
My feedback to D&K is to treat all applicants the same during the interview process and value everyone who is interested in their company. Having worked for over a year in school with this company, my perception of their engineers and managers is excellent and I can tell they treat their employees well. However, this process and the way I was treated makes me feel otherwise about the company.
