I applied through college or university. I interviewed at DBS Bank
Interview
DBS came to my school during a career fair. Was greeted by a hiring Branch Manager at the DBS booth, and was told to register my interest for the role.
Got called up a week later by the HR, and was told to do an online assessment, and subsequently an interview at DBS HQ @ Marina Bay Financial Centre.
The interview consisted of a HR and a hiring Branch Manager (the same Branch Manager who I've met at the career fair). Both of the interviewers were friendly and non-intimidating, and the interview was enjoyable and great.
Then there was a second round interview with the Cluster Manager. This time round, the experience was bad. The Cluster Manager asked lots of irrelevant questions, including what kind of residence I live in - was it landed or HDB, etc. He also asked a few personal questions, including what my family members are doing (if they have their business) and if I am single or attached, which i felt it was too personal and insulting.
I must say, the Cluster Manager was strict, intimidating and somehow arrogant.
Received an email the next day, notifying that I am not selected for the role.
Thorough and detailed: They take their time to ensure a good match.
Challenging: It's not an easy process, pushing candidates to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.
Focused on fit: The emphasis is on finding the right person for the specific role and team.
