My interview process began with a recruiter and felt fairly routine. The second interview with the team was more in-depth and engaging. However, I was asked to complete an assignment that I declined, as it required detailed strategic insights, management approaches, and creative direction—all without compensation. This felt too close to spec work and raised ethical concerns for me.
Additionally, communication was inconsistent. I was initially encouraged to ask follow-up questions, but after doing so, there was a week-long delay, and the focus shifted solely to the assignment, which felt frustrating.
