DIS (Dealer Information Systems) interview questions

The interview process was broken down into 3 different 2 person teams interviewing taking a total of 2.5 hours. The first two teams were of current software developers who asked your standard background questions like biggest accomplishment biggest struggle etc. and also two separate technical whiteboard questions. Then to end things I met with the team leader and a member of the team I would be joining to ask more background and get to know you questions. The interview went good but I ended up having to wait about a month to hear back which was not ideal.

HR will go through resumes and share with hiring manager. Depending on how many resumes come in, 3-5 are selected for further review. Phone interview is next. Top 1-3 candidates come to office for interview. Interviews consist of a panel of 3-5 employees, run by hiring manager. Questions are usually general in nature. Experience is welcomed, however, a cultural fit sometimes is more important, especially if it is felt like the candidate can learn and fit in quickly. For engineers sometimes there is a short coding exam. It helps to bring in previous examples of work, including college work if green.
