The process consisted of an initial 30-minute informal conversation with the Head of Talent, followed by a one-hour interview with the Head of Department. I was then asked to complete a campaign proposal project in advance of the next stage, which was a further one-hour interview including a presentation to the wider department team.
Throughout each stage, I received consistently positive and encouraging feedback, which gave me confidence in my progression. However, after the final interview, there was a significant delay in communication. I waited nearly a month and followed up multiple times before being informed that I had been unsuccessful, despite being told I had “almost” secured the role and was considered a strong fit.
Given the length of the process (over two months in total) and the amount of time and effort required to complete the project and prepare for multiple interviews, the prolonged delay in providing a final decision was disappointing. Timely and transparent communication, particularly after candidates have invested substantial work, would greatly improve the overall experience.
